Flat Roofing in Leeds
Garage, extension, dormer or porch, a flat roof only works if the detailing and the falls are right. We'll talk you through the options, what each one suits and roughly how long it should last, then price it in writing.

Flat roofing systems and details
EPDM rubber
A single sheet with very few joins, which is why it suits garages and extensions well.
GRP fibreglass
Laid and cured in place to form one seamless surface, with neat trims at the edges.
Torch-on felt
Modern multi-layer felt systems, a long way from the old single-layer felt roofs.
Falls and drainage
Firrings and outlets set so water actually runs off instead of sitting in a puddle.
Edge trims and upstands
The detailing at the edges and against walls, which is where most flat roofs fail.
Insulation
Warm-deck build-ups where you're upgrading rather than just re-covering.

How we workWhat customers say
“Regal roofing recently carried out an urgent, but small flat roof repair on my property (30sqm). Although this was only a small repair I found this company great to deal with, they promptly came out to give a quote, understood the urgency and managed to fit me into their schedule quickly. All the staff I dealt with worked professionally, knew their trade well and were extremely polite. I personally work within the industrial roofing industry and found this company's professionalism on a par with the best companies Iv ever dealt with.”
Before you choose a flat roof
Straight answers, before anyone climbs a ladder.
Which system is best?
It depends on the roof, the access and what's going on around it. We'll explain the trade-offs for your roof rather than pushing one system at everything.
How long will it last?
That depends on the system and the build-up, so we'll tell you what to expect for the one we're recommending before you commit.
Can you re-cover over the old roof?
Sometimes, if what's underneath is sound. If it isn't, covering it up just hides the problem, so we'd say so.
Do you do rooflights?
We can work around existing rooflights and fit new upstands where you're having one put in.
Choosing the right flat roof build-up
The waterproof covering is only one part of a working flat roof.
Deck and insulation
Before choosing a covering, discuss whether the deck is sound and how insulation fits into the proposed build-up. Covering damaged boards can leave the original problem unresolved. Our Adel warm GRP roof photographs show the deck and upstands before the finish.
Falls, outlets and edges
Water needs a clear route off the roof. Low spots, blocked outlets and poorly finished wall junctions can matter as much as the membrane. If the outlet feeds damaged guttering, include gutter repairs in the discussion.
Rooflights and adjoining roofs
Rooflight kerbs and wall upstands need to work with the covering, rather than being treated as an afterthought. Discuss rooflights before work starts. For the separate details around a loft conversion, see dormer roofing.
